The Incline District of East Price Hill is so named because one of the famous Cincinnati Inclines reached Price Hill at this point. It started operation in 1874 as the first of Cincinnati's inclines. Topping the East Price Hill Front, just south of Queens Tower, it opened up Price Hill as a thriving, hard-working area of the city. The incline is gone, but the panoramic views of the Ohio River and downtown, of course, aren't going anywhere.
Marked by the solid architecture of so many of the homes and businesses in our walkable neighborhood, beautiful parks, natural borders, and easy access to all points in greater Cincinnati, the Incline District is one of the most amazing spots in town. This sub-neighborhood includes homes both large and small, expensive and modest, historic and new. There are several condominium complexes dotting the hillside that take in a spectacular view.
The Incline District, boasts Prima Vista Italian restaurant, voted one of the most romantic restaurants in Cincinnati, and Wilson Commons and Olden View Parks. The Incline District is a wonderful place to live because of its location and sense of place, its history and cultural heritage, and most importantly, its great people.
